Canada and Montana wildfire smoke being blown into North Dakota

BISMARCK, N.D. (newsdakota.com) People in North Dakota woke up to a smokey haze Wednesday morning as wildfires continue to devastate parts of the western U.S. and Canada.

The Bismarck National Weather Service reports that smoke concentration will remain in the forecast for a majority of Wednesday. Meteorologist Patrick Ayd reports that it'll be smokey and warm today.

Ayd says winds have blown a mass of smoke into the region. He says the visibility reduction and air quality will be noticeable throughout the rest of today. The relief will come from much needed rains later this evening.
