Bison fall to James Madison in the FCS Semifinals

FARGO, N.D. -- James Madison used 10 fourth quarter points to separate from a 17-17 tie and take the upset win over North Dakota State in the FCS Semifinals.

The Dukes jumped out to a 17-0 lead in the second quarter behind two Bryan Schor passing touchdowns.

But the Bison rallied back to get a touchdown late in the first half. Chase Morlock grabbing a 3-yard touchdown run to make it 17-7 heading into the half.

In the second half the Bison continued their push with a Cam Pedersen 45-yard field goal to cut the Dukes lead to 7.

And later in the third quarter King Frazier marched in from 16 yards out to tie the game up at 17.

JMU's 10 points in the fourth quarter took the momentum away from NDSU and ended the historic playoff run.

North Dakota St. finishes 12-2 overall with their 6th consecutive Missouri Valley Football Conference Title.
