Anderson withdraws for West Fargo chief consideration

WEST FARGO, N.D. Fargo's Deputy Police Chief says he is no longer interested in the chief's job in West Fargo.

Joe Anderson, in a letter to the city, says he is withdrawing for personal reasons.

He also says the early June dates for the next round of interviews did not work out for him.

Anderson was one of three final candidates who are under consideration for the chief's job.

The remaining two are North Dakota Highway Patrol Lieutenant Troy Hischer and FBI Special Agent Heith Jahnke.

The city plans to interview them the week of June 5th.

West Fargo began searching for a new chief, after the firing of Mike Reitan in February.
